Ireland’s Largest Gin Bar To Open In Galway

For all of you gin lovers out west. Yes!

Given the fact that gin sales in Ireland rose by more than 44% in 2017, it’s fair to say that plenty Irish people absolutely adore their gin.

If you didn’t get this gin taster job or enjoy the gin festival that took place in Cork, we’ve got just the thing for you.

Ireland’s largest gin parlour bar is set to open in Galway and it’s located beside the recently renovated Forster Court Hotel. Hyde Bar & Gin Parlour promises to have the largest collections of gins in Ireland, over 500 to be exact, and it sounds like heaven for anyone that fancies a tipple.

As you can see by the bright and colourful venue, plenty of time has been spent on the renovations and the owners have also worked closely with the Celtic whiskey store – they recently ran the very successful Gin Experience in Dublin Castle.

There’s going to be gins from all over the world available but we have a feeling that one drink will be more popular than the others. The bar has created a signature “Unicorn Tears Gin” that’s made from “a bunch of secret ingredients on a unicorn farm in a secret location resulting in a bittersweet gin experience and an iridescent glittery appearance.”

Colour us intrigued.

The menu took over six months to perfect and the owners are confident in saying that it’s like “nothing else seen here in Ireland.”

Regarding the interior design, the design team Third Mind have created the unique flower wall that contains over 7,500 flowers .

The bar will also feature custom-made gunpowder Irish gin lamps, bloom gin vases, and an indoor greenhouse.

If you’re not a big gin drinker, you’ll be pleased to know that the bar will also stock plenty of rums, vodkas, tequilas and local craft beers. They’ve also got Japanese beer on draft and a fairly swanky cocktail menu.

Hyde Bar & Gin Parlour is set to open his summer and you can find more information here.
